Hi, hello! I'm Giulia, a born-and-raised nerd with a love of books, pop culture, movies, and TV shows.
I should've realized my love of communication when I would happily go over friends' essays in school, or be excited for projects that incorporated posters, videos, or any "artsy" medium. I grew up with my head in the clouds, always doodling when I was supposed to be focusing in Physics class. Luckily for me, Physics wasn't a requirement for graphic design.

Although I stumbled upon graphic design by accident, I instantly fell in love with it. I loved using colours and typography to convey a message, but didn't understand why I wasn't learning to be behind the copy as well. Due to my love of words and layout design, my biggest strengths include visual identity & branding, copywriting & editing, social media, and online/offline content like catalogues, brochures, and other information-heavy collateral.

After graduating in late 2019, and navigating the weird waters of the pandemic, I was lucky to find an opening at MP Lighting with an incredible marketing manager who saw my potential in both design and writing. She was more than happy to support me when I wanted to dive head first into copywriting for the brand. Writing has always been a huge part of my life; conveying meaning through words, being able to mold paragraphs as if they're clay is unlike any other feeling I've experienced. Currently, I'm enrolled at Simon Fraser University for their Editing Certificate – and boy, oh boy, I can now feel the pain my manager has felt for the past year. I seriously had to apologize for all of those overly long sentences in the beginning of my copywriting journey.

I still love design, I love seeing it everywhere – I love recognizing fonts, finding new tips and tricks, getting inspired by posters or packaging or labels (should I keep going...?) – but being able to do finalize something that is 100% mine, from the words to the typesetting to the layout all the way to production and print, is close to magic to me.

Why me?
You just read a lot of words about me, but why work with me? To put it simply, I'm a naturally adaptive and curious person, which fuels my out-of-the-box thinking and problem solving skills.
